1. Arrange a friendly with your opposition. If Home team, send opposition our visiting team guidance sheet and discuss how we manage Social distancing. If Away discuss how they manage social distancing and fully understand where you are playing and the facilities in use. Instruct your parents accordingly.
2. Identify a Covid Monitor within your team (someone other than coaching staff)
3. Once arranged submit a friendly fixture submission sheet.
4. Once approved you are good to play.
5. A Pitch will be allocated and you will be informed.
6. Organise a referee from the PDPL contacts list provided last season.
MATCH DAY
1. Set up your pitch as normal in plenty of time. We advise you wear gloves for transporting goals. Once in place sanitise the goals and corner flags and match ball.
2. Organise the Covid Monitors role on the day.
3. Organise the teams to turn up just in time for warm up and commencement so players and spectators are not congregating to early.
4. Discuss match scenario with Referee and opposition manager and agree set play format to reduce waiting times. No handshake before or after kick off – use more traditional three cheers.
5. At half time, the Covid Monitor is to sanitise the Goal posts, corner flags and match ball. Have socially distant team talk but keep it brief.
6. At full time have brief match discussion with team, socially distant, and let players leave. Sanitise Goals, corner flags and match balls and clear pitch as usual. Avoid numerous parents assisting use select few and instruct them how to maintain cleanliness.
7. Return all equipment and leave it as you would expect to find it next time.
